Our Mission: To provide a quality musical education experience, combined with the opportunity for new friendships and spiritual growth, in a relaxed and recreational setting.
Description: Students will enjoy a laid-back country atmosphere while exploring new playing styles and instrumentations. We will focus on learning to play a wide range of music including: classical, worship, fiddle/folk songs, etc.
Each day, students will experience a variety of musical instruction, in various classes including: orchestra, ensemble music, music theory/composition, chamber music, and more.
Schedule: Monday, August 1 – Friday, August 5. Days will begin at 8:45 a.m. and will end at 4:30 p.m.
We will end early on Friday to give students time to go home and refresh for our Friday evening end-of-camp performance.
Activities: Each day’s musical studies will include orchestra, sectionals, chamber ensembles, choir, and music theory. Students will be placed in orchestra and ensembles according to their level and ability. Other activities include daily devotion time and an elective (see registration form). There will be a fun camp recreation time at the end of each day.
Location: Acorn Acres is located on the Pendergrass Family Farm in SW Clover SC. For safety reasons, the exact location will be provided upon registration.
